Alvi & Fernando’s Wedding

A Tapatío* quote says that “When the mariachi sounds, the world sings,”–the perfect prelude to the following preview for a wedding full of sounds of joy.

I meet Alvi & Fernando a few months ago when they were planning their wedding, and was pleasantly surprised to see once again how small the world is.  Through our conversation, we discovered that we have some mutual friends in Mexico and that for the five years prior to moving to CA, I had been living in Alvi’s hometown!  From that moment, I knew I would enjoy sharing a very special day in the life of this couple.

They wed at St. Leander’s Church in San Leandro, CA, where the mariachi gave a Mexican flair to their Catholic ceremony.  After their evening ceremony, despite heavy traffic and little time before the couple needed to make their appearance at the reception, we managed to stop at a few of their selected locations including the San Ramon fountains, for some nighttime portraits.  The reception that followed at The Bridges Golf Club was full of dancing, food and merriment.

My best wishes and congratulations to Alvi & Fer in their new life together.
