Thank You 2018 / A year in review

Two Thousand Eighteen
The year is over and here I am, again, trying to look back and share with all of you how wonderful, special, and magical everything was while visiting new places and meeting new people. But I just can’t lie. Even with all the great experiences, 2018 was brutal, stressful, exhausting.
Anna, Banyan, and I started the year full of joy. Clay and Ollie–our beloved and highly anticipated babies, were finally with us. Our hearts were so full that we forgot that as with the ocean, you should never turn your back on reality. A new world of allergies, concerns, and sleep deprivation become the sneaker wave that hit us with little warning. But the adage is also true that what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger and this year was proof of it. Even when I felt I was in a constant daze, I learned more about myself, my passions, and what moves me. I decided to focus more on family time and what is important in the business and try to limit unessential screen time, especially social media.
I have so much to be thankful for as this new year begins. For Anna, without her strength and support I couldn’t have done it; best mom and wife I could have asked for. For my son Banyan, simply for being who he is and inspiring me with his imagination. For my sons Ollie and Clay for all the dreams and happiness they bring to our lives. For my parents, in-laws, entire family and friends for the constant support, sacrifices and reminding me we can always count on them. For every single couple that trusted me to be part of their intimate and special celebration. For all the vendors that worked hard next to me during every event. For all the businesses that made me part of their projects. For all my artist friends for inspiring me every day. For my friend Carlos Elizondo for making possible an adventure all over Mexico and for every single person that was part of my journey this year.
To all of you, thank you. Thank you for your support, your help, good energy and encouragement. I envision a year full of new challenges and new projects and new adventures. 2019, I also welcome you with an open mind and heart.
